Brush Up Your Shakespeare

The Secaucus Public Library and Business Resource Center is celebrating the genius of William Shakespeare throughout the year ahead, starting with this month’s meeting of their Adult Poetry Discussion Group. The Poetry Discussion Group’s next meeting is Wednesday, April 19th at 7pm in the library’s first floor Story Tower Meeting Room. Attendees will be reading and discussing the poetry of William Shakespeare, particularly his sonnets.

The group is led by Sharon Dellafave. Dellafave, who has many years of experience as a teacher of poetry, literature, and film, is currently serving a member of the Secaucus Board of Education, as well.

Members of the library community may also wish to attend this month’s meeting as a way of getting more familiar with Shakespeare and his language in anticipation of this year’s Shakespeare at the Library performances, which will feature three of the playwright’s best known works staged by the Hudson Shakespeare Company on June 7th, July 12 and October 27th.

Poetry selections will be provided to all attendees in the meeting.  For more information or to register to attend, call Jenifer May at 201-330-2083 x4011 or email
